Are you seeking a rewarding role, building bonds and supporting SEND students?
We are working with a fantastic school in the south London borough of Southwark to find a teacher to lead a small class of students with a diagnosis of Autism. In this role, you will choose what year group to work with, working in a bespoke new building alongside a supportive and friendly team.
In your class, you will be assisted by 3 SEND Teaching Assistants whilst you will lead the class as a SEND Teacher, planning and running lessons that will mostly revolve around activity-based learning. The students at the school range from ages 4 to 16, with them all working at KS1/KS2 level and all having an EHCP for Autism.
As mentioned, the school building is new and bespoke, with lots of resources and provisions to help you and support the students. Alongside this, the school is extremely well known for the various trainings it provides, including bespoke training that specialises in SEND and, in particular, Autism. Additionally, the school does consider its staff and those seeking progression for other roles should it interest them, meaning that further into your career at the school, you could find yourself in other positions of interest within the school or the larger trust should this appeal to you.
So, if you’re looking for a rewarding role teaching students with Autism in a new bespoke building supported by friendly staff and management, why not apply today?
