Maths Teacher - Alternate Provision
Easter 2025 or September Start
East London
Permanent - Full time - 52 weeks – 35 days of annual leave plus bank holidays
Are you an experienced Mather teacher looking for a new challenge, while working in a creative setting?
The school is based in East London and caters to students who are 14 – 16 years old and have disengaged from formal education. It provides a creative education and supports education and work opportunities.
As a Maths Teacher at this alternative provision, you will play a vital role in planning and delivering exciting lessons that support learners' progression in GCES Maths and Functional Skills Maths. You will be expected to use a range of assessment methods. A key aspect of this role is to find effective ways to prepare learners for examinations.
Responsibilities of Maths Teacher Role:
- Planning and delivering exciting lessons
- Support with GCSE Maths and Functional Skills Maths
- Promoting safety, wellbeing and safeguarding
- Tracking progression
- Using a range of assessment methods
- Being confident in learning environment management
Qualifications
- Maths and English GCES Grafe 4/C or equivalent (Level 2)
- Degree/relevant qualification in the subject area
- L5 teaching qualification with relevant experience
