I am currently recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant to join a warm and welcoming Primary school based in Southend, Essex, this is an excellent opportunity for someone who has a passion to support vulnerable children and work alongside pupils who require specialist support whilst at school.
The school are seeking a passionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to provide academic, emotional and behavioural support to a number of children who require specialist assistance.
The school has a warm and friendly atmosphere where every member of staff is valued and supported. They are looking forward to welcome new children in January with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) who will need expert support in their classes.
As a Learning Support Assistant you will work closely with the class teacher to provide individualised support to the pupils, tailoring strategies to their specific needs. You will be required to work alongside a fantastic therapy team, consisting of Speech & Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists and Play Therapists, giving you an excellent insight into where this career could take you!
You will use your knowledge and experience to engage the children and help them overcome any barriers to learning. Whether it's supporting their maths & english skills, assisting with behaviour management or providing emotional support when needed, you will play a vital role in the children's progress and wellbeing.
As a member of staff at the school, you will have access to their fantastic facilities, free onsite parking and easy public transport links. You will join a team of dedicated professionals who are committed to providing the best possible education for the children. The friendly Senior Leadership Team will be available to support and guide you on your journey with the school.
This position starts in September 2023, with trial days taking place in ASAP.
