The Role
As a Speech & Language Therapist, you will be at the heart of our mission to enhance the communication skills and social development of children with complex communication needs. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to create personalised therapy programs, ensuring each child receives the support they need to succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough assessments and provide personalised speech and language therapy to children with diverse and complex needs.
Develop and deliver tailored therapy plans that support both communication and social development.
Collaborate with teaching staff, therapists, and families to create a holistic, team-based approach to student development.
Monitor and track student progress, adjusting therapy strategies to ensure optimal outcomes.
Provide staff training and guidance on speech and language development, fostering a supportive school-wide approach.
Use innovative and evidence-based practices to meet the unique needs of each student.
The Ideal Candidate:
Qualified: HCPC-registered Speech & Language Therapist with a proven track record of working with children with severe learning difficulties and Autism, particularly in SEN settings.
Experienced: Demonstrated success in supporting children with complex communication needs.
Passionate: You care deeply about helping children reach their full potential, and you are driven to make a tangible difference.
Collaborative: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Adaptable: You are resourceful, innovative, and able to tailor therapeutic approaches to meet the diverse needs of each student.
