Merton, South West London | ASAP Start | £90-£100 per day PAYE | Excellent experience for aspiring teachers and educational psychologists!

I am working with an 'Outstanding' SEN school in Merton seeking bubbly, engaging and energetic Graduate SEN Teaching Assistants to join their team on a Long term as soon as possible. The school is very keen on individuals who want to make a difference in SEN children’s lives while bringing their own initiative and energy to the classroom!
What to expect working as a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting SEN pupils, and the school is recruiting for multiple roles

This school provides a personalised and creative curriculum to children and young people who have Autism/ASC, Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), and Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)

This role would be a great fit for a psychology, education or social science graduate or someone enthusiastic about SEND and would like to pursue a career working with children

A long-term contract, working for the whole academic year with the prospect of becoming a permanent member of the staff

Continuous CPD training for all SEN Teaching Assistants, including Makaton, PECs, Colourful Semantics etc

The ability to work in a highly supported staff team within a fantastic specialist SEN school

Gain the opportunity to make a huge difference in the social and emotional development of an SEN child as a Graduate Teaching Assistant
Requirements for Graduate SEN Teaching Assistants

A Graduate in a similar field is desirable, but anyone with fantastic energy and drive is key

Previous experience working with children within a school or childcare setting however, this is not essential

Proactive and positive about making a difference in children’s development and wellbeing
-
Excel at building relationships with both students and staff

Live within commutable distance of Morden and surrounding areas
Pay

Long-term contracts are available for those who are looking for immediate work. We understand that pay is extremely important and must be clear and simple! Therefore, we have chosen to pay our staff via PAYE only. Quoted rates are gross pay, and your payment will never involve the employer's NI deductions or admin fees

Just as roles vary, so will the remuneration depending on the role requirements and your experience. You will often see these roles advertised as daily rates; please note that we pay PAYE only, and please bear in mind that all school-based work will be term time only
