Are you a HLTA looking for a new rewarding role working with students ages 16 to 25 with a diagnosis of Autism?

We are working with a fantastic SEND College to find someone to be a HLTA working ages 16 to 25 with a diagnosis of Autism. Within this role, you will work as a leading part of a Teaching Assistant Team, covering lessons and providing guidance to teaching assistants. This is an amazing opportunity with lots of training from external and internal sources, alongside opportunities to gain experience working with various needs.

The role is extremely rewarding with the goal to get students into employment, with each student doing some form of work placement once a week, with on site careers advisors as well as other facilities to support them. The school is designed for the needs with some students with the school having complex needs and PMLD, and management at the school does a lot to support staff and ensure your as happy as the students.

We are working with a fantastic school in South East London Borough of Southwark to fill the position of SEND Teacher within a mainstream school in their ARP. The students at the school range from ages 5-11. The school encourage learning through arts and crafts and student’s interests in things like cars or football. This is to teach life skills to the students to help with their educational and personal development. Within this role, you will be supported by LSAs and have access to various facilities and resources to help you provide students with the best lessons possible.
