Position: 1:1 Teaching Assistant (Early Years)
Location: Tower Hamlets, London
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £85 - £95 PAYE
Hours: Full-time
About the Role
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young children? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant early years team in Tower Hamlets. This role involves working closely with a child who has an Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP) and presents signs of autism and global delay.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide tailored support and assistance to a child with an EHCP, focusing on their individual needs.
- Implement and adapt learning activities to help the child achieve their developmental milestones.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCO, and other professionals to ensure the child’s educational and personal development.
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor and record the child's progress, providing regular feedback to parents and staff.
- Assist with personal care tasks as needed.
Requirements
- A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development.
- Previous experience working with children with autism and global delay is highly desirable.
- A relevant qualification in Health & Social Care or a CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education (or equivalent).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
