Behaviour Mentors - Therapeutic School - Newham
PAYE £95 - £115 per day

The School:
Parker Smith Inclusion are working with a "Good" inclusive school based in East London that caters for students that have Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, neurodiversity, including ASC and associated conditions and non-life threating medical conditions. They are working from the national curriculum along side specialisms such as LIFE and enrichment opportunities. They also cater for post-16 children with SEMH and SLD, with links to colleges in the area they can support the children through to their employment using FAST.
The Role:
As a Behaviour Mentor you will be supporting a child and/or children that display the needs above, you will work with speech and language therapists, pastoral care and group co-ordinators to provide the child with the best possible support.
You will need to have the following experience;
1-2 Years experience within a school setting working with children that have SEMH and/or SEN.
- Experience within a independent or PRU setting is favoured.
- A trauma informed approach and training within this.
- Open minded to working as an holistic and therapeutic approach.
- Experience working with young children that have been exposed to trauma.
- Experience working with children that have autism.
This school offers a 4.5 working day week and the afternoon of Friday is utilised for staff training, on-site gardening allotment, small classrooms and production and performance music studio.
