Exciting Opportunity: LSA/Behaviour Mentor Position in Thurrock!
Parker Smith Inclusion is thrilled to announce our partnership with an outstanding mainstream primary school in Thurrock. We are on the lookout for a dedicated and passionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) and Behaviour Mentor to join their exceptional team.
Position Details:
- Role: LSA/Behaviour Mentor
- Location: Thurrock
- Pay Rate: £85 - £95 per day
- Hours: 8 AM - 4 PM
- Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent
- Schedule: Term Time Only
- Payment: Weekly pay through PAYE
About the Role:
As an LSA/Behaviour Mentor, you will play a vital role in the school’s provision for students with additional needs. You will work closely with children who have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, as well as those exhibiting challenging behaviour. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing tailored support to individual students to help them overcome barriers to learning.
- Implementing strategies to manage and improve student behaviour.
- Working collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to create an inclusive learning environment.
- Assisting in developing and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Supporting students in both classroom and one-on-one settings to enhance their educational experience.

Candidate Requirements:
- Experience working with children with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or challenging behaviour is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, resilience, and a genuine passion for working with children.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
