About the Role

If you are a resilient person who is looking for a new, challenging role supporting young people with behaviour and social, emotional and mental health needs, then this is the role for you!

We are working with PRU's (Pupil Referral Unit's) based in Haringey that are seeking passionate and resilient behaviour mentors to join their experienced team. The school offers education to students in primary through to secondary who may be on a short-term or longer-term placement as they are not able to attend mainstream education. This will be due to their challenging behaviour, social, emotional and mental health needs and can be other additional needs.

PRU Behaviour Mentor role;

  • Supporting students with challenging behaviour and social, emotional and mental health needs
  • Class sizes will be no more than 6 students
  • Working 1:1 and within small groups
  • Supporting young people with their learning needs
  • Building strong and meaningful relationships

PRU Behaviour Mentor Requirements;

  • To have previous school or relevant experience supporting challenging behaviour
  • To be resilient and passionate about helping young people succeed
  • If you have a passion for sports, music or other interests, this can be welcomed into the role
  • To be flexible and willing to help support across the school in primary and secondary if needed
