About the Role
All Boys Social Emotional Mental Health School in East London
Behaviour Mentor - North East London
PAYE - £85 - £100 per day
I am actively searching for positive Behaviour Mentors to support young people from vulnerable and challenging backgrounds. This all-boys school catering for students with social, emotional, and mental health problems. The school champions a trauma informed approach and cultivating student independence and community. Furthermore, this school favours communication over conflict and actively demonstrates to pupils that issues are best resolved by talking.
To be a behaviour mentor we look for the following skills:
- Experience working with vulnerable young people and social emotional and mental health problems.
- Passion for supporting students with challenging behaviour and implementing positive behaviour and boundaries.
- A nurturing, caring and empathetic approach to vulnerable young people.
- Practising and trauma-informed approach
- Brilliant communication skills
- Resilient
- Ability to keep calm in challenging situations
We would favour the following experience:
- Experience within Secondary School
- Experience within Youth Work (YMCA etc)
- Counselling experience or degree
