Are you an experienced Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist looking to become part of a multidisciplinary therapy team for a SEND school?

I am looking for a Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist to become part of a permanent multidisciplinary therapy team based in a beautiful SEND school specialising in ASD and complex needs.

Main responsibilities for Speech and Language Therapist role:

  • Assessment and intervention planning
  • Group and individual therapy as required
  • Working within classes and providing consultative support as part of the multi-disciplinary team
  • Development and implementation of training for staff and other professionals
  • Curriculum development
  • Report writing and record keeping

Requirements for Speech and Language Therapists

  • Highly motivated, passionate, dynamic and flexible
  • Understands the value of using an ABA methodology
  • Wants to grow with the school and become a fully immersed member of the team
  • Has relevant experience of working with young people with special needs, especially autism spectrum disorder
  • Has highly developed communication and interpersonal skills
  • Is RCSLT and HCPC registered or working towards this
  • Hold a Bachelors or Masters's Degree in Speech and Language Therapy.

This SEND school caters for students with Autism and provides education for children aged 4 - 19. They are a well-equipped school with excellent leadership across their schools that provide a positive and safe learning environment for their children.
