Are you a Qualified Teacher looking for a behaviour-based role supporting students who have been removed from Mainstream education
We are working with a pupil referral unit situated in Lambeth to find a teacher to lead a small class of seven students ages 11 to 16, while being supported by multiple SEND Teaching Assistants. Within this role, you will teach the students, helping them to learn whilst also overcoming barriers to education in the form of challenging behaviour and SEMH needs.
Training is provided alongside resources to assist in teaching, and the school's team is very supportive. You will interact with parents, support officers, and well-being professionals, providing reports and feedback regarding the students’ progress. This role is ideal for those looking for a rewarding role working with behaviour using therapeutic strategies to build relationships with pupils and guide them in a positive direction.
Brief overview:
- To work and support students with challenging behaviour in a pupil referral unit (PRU) environment
- Pay depending on experience and PayScale
- Location: South East London (Southwark / Lambeth sites)
- Therapeutic approach to students to build relationships and help guide them in a positive direction
- Continued Professional Development - paid for (up to 100%) by the school
- To liaise with colleagues, parents and other professionals regarding the students’ progress – both academically and personal development-wise
