About the School and 1:1 Teaching Assistant opportunity
The small and friendly primary school is based in East London. The school have an excellent track record of training teachers and have a wonderful and supportive SLT.
As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant you will support a child who will be joining the school in September. The student has autism and at present uses minimal verbal language, whilst the child doesn't normally present with challenging behaviour you will need to be proactive and engaging. The role will be to support the child for the full academic year with a permanent SEN Teaching Assistant contract available for the right individual.
1:1 Teaching Assistant requirements
- Passionate about supporting students with SEND
- Experience in an SEND setting
- Committed to personal development and learning specialist skills
- Proactive and flexible
- Ability to be a team player and build rapport quickly
- Ideally a Graduate or someone with previous SEN experience either formal or informal
