Are you a Qualified Teacher from a Further Education or Secondary Background, seeking a new type of role working within SEND?
We are working with a fantastic SEND College to find someone to teach a class of students ages 16 to 25 with a diagnosis of Autism. Within this role, you will be supported by 7 to 8 SEND TAs who will work closely with each individual children, in accordance with your lesson plans which will teach the students various life skills. These skills are divided into pathways such as employability, relationships and personal health and would see the students working with the wider community and other businesses.
You will be based in the classroom Monday to Thursday, with Fridays being a PPA day for you in addition to training. Within this time, students will go out with their assigned Tas to conduct activities in line with the tailored plans you have written for them, to help them overcome barriers to learning and personal development.
