An SEMH School in Redbridge is actively searching for a dynamic and flexible English Teacher with experience with pupils with an SEMH diagnosis.
This Bexley SEMH School supports pupils from KS3-KS4 with an emphasis on English and Maths as the core building blocks needed for pupils’ success and focus on the Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural development of each pupil. By creating and upholding a supportive and positive learning environment, this SEMH School is a place where pupils feel safe and happy and contribute to the wider school community.
What does learning look like for students at this Redbridge SEMH School?
Due to the transitory nature of pupils’ journey with the school, this SEMH School operates a project based learning model, where different aspects of the curriculum are linked by a common theme or project, allowing all pupils to access learning no matter their when they join the school. After the pandemic, many pupils have been left with large gaps in their learning and literacy skills. This school has a dedicated focus on literacy and has made great steps to make reading an enjoyable project for pupils, with new library facilities recently constructed.
Further to this, the school boasts an outdoor learning provision and a comprehensive structure for pupil provision and development with their qualifications post-16.
