About the Role
Location: Romford
Salary: £95 - £110 per day (PAYE)
Job Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a supportive and dynamic team in a vibrant primary school based in the Romford area. This is an excellent opportunity for a committed professional to make a real difference in the education and lives of young learners, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Role Overview
As a HLTA, you will:
- Support teaching staff in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
- Work closely with pupils with Special Educational Needs, providing tailored support to help them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
- Lead small group sessions and deliver planned interventions
- Cover lessons in the absence of the class teacher.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of individual learning and support plans.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues and external specialists to ensure the best outcomes for all students.
Key Requirements
- HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in a primary school setting, including working with children with SEN.
- A patient, compassionate, and adaptable approach to meeting diverse learning needs.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire young learners.
- A genuine passion for education and supporting student achievement.
- Flexibility, reliability, and excellent communication skills.
