About the Role
As an English Teacher with Drama specialism, you will be responsible for teaching a class of pupils, creating engaging lessons that cater to their varied learning and social needs. English will be the main subject, with Drama enhancing the curriculum and providing creative outlets for students. You’ll play an active role in nurturing a positive learning environment and embody the school’s core values inside and outside the classroom. This role requires a professional who can motivate students and uphold high standards in both teaching and personal conduct.
Key Responsibilities

Teaching: Deliver high-quality English and Drama lessons, ensuring planning, preparation, recording, assessment, and reporting meet individual needs.

Ethos: Promote and maintain the positive ethos and values of the school, supporting its mission to “develop potential, touch hearts, and engage minds.”

Reporting: Provide accurate, timely reports to all stakeholders, including the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), Governors, and parents/carers.

Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of students’ learning and progress, setting ambitious targets to support their development.

Professional Standards: Uphold the professional standards for qualified teachers, in line with the General Teaching Council for England’s code of conduct.
About You

Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience or strong interest in teaching both English and Drama.

What you can expect as a SEN Teaching Assistant

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, your role will be to support a child with special educational needs. However, the role will vary from day to day; you will be expected to use your initiative and respond calmly in challenging situations.

Pay
We understand that pay is extremely important and it must be clear and simple! For that reason, we have chosen to pay our staff via PAYE only. Quoted rates are gross pay, and your pay will never involve the employer's NI deductions or admin fees.
Just as roles vary, so will the remuneration, depending on the role requirements and your experience. You will often see these roles advertised as daily rates. Please note that we pay PAYE only, and rates will vary from £80-100 per day, depending on the role and your experience.
