This role requires a holistic approach, focusing on the whole child, academic development is only possible when you address the primary need first. You will work with the school's multidisciplinary therapy team, helping students find ways to do the things they need and want to do. This opportunity will suit a teacher who has a passion and natural ability to engage hard to reach pupils and those with strong classroom presence. You will engage the children and young people within the school in innovative, therapeutic, and meaningful activities, supporting them in learning to help them reach their full potential. Requirements for PSHE Teacher: To work as a SEND PSHE Teacher, you will require QTS or QTLS and have relevant experience as a Teacher in the UK. Solid experience working with highly vulnerable children, pupils at risk of exploitation, gang-related issues, violent and aggressive behaviour, substance misuse, school phobic, highly disengaged pupils, attachment and anxiety disorders is beneficial but we want to hear from ALL teachers. I am working with a South East London AP (Alternative Provision) who is looking for an engaging and passionate 1:1 Behaviour Mentor for a boy in year 9 with ADHD. The children attending this school will be either temporarily or permanently excluded due to challenging and disruptive behaviour, they may or may not have a SEN diagnosis, EHCP (Education Health Care Plan). You will often see these roles advertised as daily rates, please note that we pay PAYE only and rates will vary from £90 to £120 per day, depending on the role and your experience. Term Time salaries are therefore £17,550 - £23,400 Per Annum, please bear in mind that all school based work will be term time only so these salaries are based on 39 working weeks in an academic year.
