We are currently working with a setting in Essex who are seeking a Behaviour Mentor to support their young people who are not able to attend mainstream school and have SEMH. Even if your experience is informal/voluntary, I want to hear from you! The children you will support will have a variety of needs which can include significant complex behaviour challenges and sometimes associated SEND. We support Education providers that educate children and young people who for many reasons cannot access any other formal educational settings – these are the most vulnerable, at risk and hard to reach in our community. Understanding their SEMH needs must be met before any academic development can happen. Understanding their SEMH needs is essential in these roles and we are seeking individuals who, as a Behaviour Mentor can make a positive impact.

 

Behaviour Mentor requirements:

 ● Experience of working with young people with SEND and/or Autism, ADHD, sensory processing difficulties and learning difficulties or experience with SEMH, Trauma, Sensory processing, social communication

● Behaviour Mentor / Youth Worker experience

 ● Ability to build strong and meaningful relationships

● A passion for working with SEND is essential
