Are you passionate about supporting children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and dedicated to creating a nurturing learning environment? Whether you have hands-on experience in SEN or bring valuable personal insight, we have an exciting opportunity for you!
About the Role
We’re collaborating with a welcoming and inclusive mainstream school in Havering, looking for enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants to join their team. This role is within their dedicated Additional Resource Provision (ARP), a specialized area of the school that provides tailored support for students with ASC. With purpose-built classrooms and sensory-friendly spaces, the ARP offers a calm, structured environment to help children succeed outside the larger mainstream setting.
Key Responsibilities

- Lead and support children in activities designed to build communication, language, and social interaction skills.
- Collaborate with external professionals, such as Speech and Language Therapists and Educational Psychologists, to optimize each child’s learning experience.
- Assist pupils with transitions between the ARP and mainstream classes, encouraging positive interactions and inclusion within the school community.
Do You Have:
- Experience in an SEN or ASC-support role, or a strong personal background supporting children with ASC?
